Meet Mildred Murphy
Mother, wife, entrepreneur, investor, advisor and humanitarian.
Milley as she is affectionately known among her friends has made a career of serving others. Seeing a smile on the people she touches is her inspiration. From her early days as a restaurateur, creating creole and other authentic caribbean dishes to be enjoyed by patrons, friends and family has been her passion.
As an investor Millie has focussed her talents, capital and time in bringing renewable energy to underdeveloped regions in the Caribbean. 1000’s of children saw electricity light their homes for the first time powered by her investments. Milley has travelled the globe pursuing other ventures in infrastructure and finance with a focus on improving the lives of people. This has given her the gift of greater purpose. Voices of My Ancestors is a culmination of these worldly experiences. Having been exposed to many cultures, the common theme she discovered was wherever she travelled, people wanted to share their traditional recipes that were passed down to them.
